Who we are

Trail to Treadmill is provided by Lorenzo García. Privacy questions, consent withdrawal and deletion requests: trailtotreadmill@gmail.com.

Data the developer does not collect

The app does not transmit your data to our servers. We do not use analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency identifier.

Using the app does not send us your name, photo, date of birth, body measurements, heart rate, test results or device identifiers.

Information stored on your device

To provide the app's features, the app stores the following in its sandbox on your device: athlete profiles you create (name, sex, date of birth, height, weight and an optional profile photo); and test or training results you save, which may include speeds, grades, times, perceived exertion, notes, heart rate from an optional Bluetooth sensor, stride data from an optional running pod, and treadmill calibration data.

This information stays on your device unless you choose to share it with a destination you pick (Share sheet, Mail, Files, Instagram or similar).

Permissions

Bluetooth is optional and is used only to connect a standard heart-rate sensor or running pod during a test. Every test works without a sensor. You can refuse Bluetooth access and still use the app.

An optional profile photo is chosen with the system photo picker. The app does not request full access to your photo library.

Motion sensors are used on-device to measure treadmill incline during calibration. They are not used to track your location or daily activity.

Sharing you initiate

Result cards, images and export files leave the device only when you tap Share and choose a destination. We do not receive that content unless you send it to us (for example by email).

Anonymized export

The app can generate an anonymized file of sport data that removes treadmill names and free-text notes and uses a random identifier instead of your name. Generating this file is optional and is a separate choice from normal app use.

The app never uploads the file. If you choose to send an anonymized file to us, we may use it only to improve anonymized reference comparisons. We will not sell it, use it for advertising, or try to re-identify you. You can stop at any time by not sending further files, and by emailing trailtotreadmill@gmail.com to ask us to delete any file you previously sent.

iCloud

The app does not sync data with iCloud Drive or CloudKit. Health and athlete files stored by the app are excluded from iCloud Backup so they are not stored in iCloud.

Retention and deletion

On-device data remains until you delete an athlete profile or delete the app. Deleting an athlete profile removes that athlete's profile, photo and associated results from the device. Deleting the app removes all local app data.

To request deletion of anything you sent us by email, write to trailtotreadmill@gmail.com.

Children

Trail to Treadmill is intended for coaches and athletes. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's data off the device. If an adult uses the app with a minor athlete, that adult is responsible for the profile and for any sharing.

Third parties

We do not share user data with analytics tools, advertising networks or other third-party SDKs. If you open Instagram or Mail, those apps process content under their own policies.

We do not disclose user data to third parties. If that ever changed, we would require the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this policy.

This website

This website is static. It does not use cookies, embed analytics, or collect form submissions. The host (for example Vercel or Cloudflare) may keep ordinary technical request logs (IP address, user agent) on their own servers, which we do not control.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page.
